Have a minimum of 3 basic bras in rotation: one to wear, one to wash, and one to spare. This does not include special occasion pieces (your date night only styles), solution lingerie (strapless), or sport.
Hand-wash your undergarments in cold water with a delicate detergent like Forever New. Regular detergents, including Woolite, can contribute to a faster breakdown of our delicate corsetry fabrics.
Air dry your bras, making sure not to twist them to remove excess water.
If you are machine washing your undergarments (we all need to simplify sometimes!), place them in a lingerie wash bag and use a gentle cycle.
Wear your bra on 2 consecutive days. Elastic needs to recover after a day of wear. I know it’s hard! But make sure you give your favorite a break.
Wear your bra more than 2-3 times before washing.
Put your bras in the dryer. Heat can destroy both the fibers and the elastic.
Flip the cups of your t-shirt bras inside out when storing, or even while packing. This breaks up the foam, creating "dimples" that can be seen through your clothes.
