Chantelle cares deeply about your well-being. Not just what styles you like, or size you may wear (though these matter to us too!), but about the really important things -  like your health. And we integrate this care into our product development. Out of everything in your wardrobe, your undergarments get the closest to you, your body, your skin.

Just like you protect yourself from the sun, it's also important to protect your skin from harsh chemicals, which can sometimes be found in unexpected places. Like fabrics. Oeko-Tex certification takes the guesswork out of which fabrics are fully safe, or not, and Chantelle has taken the extra step to get all of our products Oeko-Tex certified.

What This Means

  • Oeko-Tex is a third-party agency responsible for rigorous testing in independent labs.

  • All Chantelle products are sent to undergo these tests.

    • The testing covers 100 different parameters, including:

    • Illegal substances: Such as carcinogenic colorants.

    • Legally regulated substances: Like formaldehyde, phthalates, and heavy metals.

    • Harmful chemicals: Substances that aren't yet legally banned but are scientifically proven to be harmful to health (like PFAS "forever chemicals").

  • If all tests are passed, the product receives the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label and is considered Oeko-Tex certified.

You can be sure that all components of any product that carries this label—from the fabric to the thread to the hook and eye—have been tested for, and are free of, these harmful substances. All Chantelle products found in the US proudly display the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 label
