I wear these during exercising so that sweat marks aren't visible on my shorts/leggings.  They work well in the back but do show sweat in the front if I've been running for 2+ hours.  I haven't worn them during menstruation so I can't comment on that.  They are also very comfortable. I enjoy wearing them.
